Dexter Sharper is currently a member of the Georgia General Assembly where he serves as a State Representative and has done so for over 10 years. He serves on the Small Business Development Committee. He is first a businessman and has been in business for over 40 years. He started his first business at the age of 7 selling candy to his peers in elementary school. He continued in that business through high school and then entered into the party rental business where he continues to be an owner. Sharper is also a Georgia Certified Paramedic and has served as Emergency Medical Services Director during his career. This made him a perfect fit to serve on the Health & Human Services committee within the Georgia House of Representatives. He became a financial planning specialist over 20 years ago and has knowledge of available financial options for individuals as well as small businesses. Sharper has a passion for promoting financial literacy. He feels that financial literacy should be introduced to children as early as elementary school. He loves children and serves on the Juvenile Justice Committee. Sharper is co-owner of The Empower Kits, which is an organization that empowers our youth and promotes mental health awareness. He has been an investor in real estate and the stock market for over 30 years. He is also an investor in cryptocurrency. He has a business that encompasses influencers to help businesses promote their products and services throughout the country. He believes his purpose is to help others maximize their potential and that is what he plans to do. Sharper is supported and encouraged by his wife, Chequella Shipman Sharper of almost 28 years and his 4 children, Brittany, Dexter II, Dylan, and Lauren who are all successful after being mentored by their parents. Sharper has mentored several individuals and businesses over the last 30 years and looks forward to coaching and mentoring many more.
